I am 77 years old. I do not have to worry about tripping or stumbling in these, as my foot bed is solid and there is a lot of support. In the past, I found the leather was too stiff in some styles, but now I stick to suede, and I couldn't ask for a better shoe.

I've had both knees replaced and I have MS as well. This sandle gives me great stability.

I really love my Birkenstocks. I have a problem with swollen feet, and I can adjust these and still be comfortable. They are about the only shoe I can wear. Will be ordering other pairs.
