What other footwear company can say their boots have been on the feet of such famous Americans as Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. Soldiers for both sides of the Civil War. Pioneering families "going West" in the 19th century. WW II servicemen and even General Patton? When you're talking about a true American institution, you're talking about Frye Company footwear.
Founded in 1863, the Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. The Frye Company remains true to its heritage and vintage American roots with finely crafted, fashionable boot, shoe and handbag designs featuring ultra rich leathers, impeccable craftsmanship and quality hardware.
The very first pair of Frye Company boots was benchcrafted in 1863, and what made the America's best back then still holds true as their quality is legendary. For over 140 years Frye Company's leather footwear continues to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers with genuine leather and premium rubber soles. With steadfast commitment and painstaking attention to detail, it takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots.
Today, the Frye Company classic Harness boot holds a special place in American culture and is hugely popular worldwide for those who want to capture a piece of the "American spirit." And the Campus (or "Original") Frye Company boot, introduced in the 1960s, was selected by the Smithsonian Institute as an item to best represent the era; it proudly remains on display today.
A worthy investment, Frye Company boots, shoes and accessories offer timeless, enduring design to enjoy forever. They won't go out of style with each passing whim, and they're built to last from season to season, from skinny jeans to long dresses to business suits (if you really can't bear to part with them).
Frye Company footwear can be seen equally on the urban streets of the world's most bustling cities as well as on the feet of celebrities and in fashion magazines. And of course even on the feet of real cowboys and cowgirls, capturing their pioneering spirit and making Frye Company a respected part of Americana, holding an esteemed place in the forefront of American style. Shoe is excellent looking, stiff like most welted contruction and handmade shoes. I used a shoe stretcher to break them in a bit so I could wear them right away for an extended period.
These are the quintessential biker boot, but they run at least 1/2 size large. I usually wear a 6.5 but I was swimming in the heel area of these, even with socks. I am exchanging them for a 6--and can't wait to get them.
These boots are made for walking. I loved them from day one. They fit perfect and look better than I thought.
I ordered them first in a wrong size. Make sure it's the American size not the British. Customer service was extremely helpful.
The Veronica Slouch boots are AMAZING! They did not disappoint. I tried them on right out of the box and they could not be more comfortable and cute!
The leather is incredible, which is a trademark of the quality of FRYE products.
Shoe mall was also so great in accommodating me, as I made the purchase over the holidays... Needless to say frantic shopping.
Love my FRYE Veronica Slouch boots and shoe mall!
I ordered these boots for my husband for Christmas. I got him a size 1/2 a size smaller since sometimes boots can run big. I got them at a great price and was so glad to get such a great deal for a great boot.
