I love the look and feel of these shoes but unfortunatly because they run about a half size bigger, I gave them to my mother in law. She loves them also. They look great with jeans and she wore them all day shopping and said her feet didn't hurt.

This is a comfortable, classic penny loafer with the feminine touch of a 1" heel. I got this in a C/D width, but the toe box is still a bit tighter than any of my other shoes in the same size. If you need a roomy toe box (for diabetes or orthotics), you may want to go up a width or choose a different shoe. With time, the toe box should stretch, and they are still comfortable enough out-of-the-box for all-day wear at an office, with fall color skirts, business casual slacks, khakis, and my weekend casual sweater & jeans outfits. I can wear them with trouser socks, tights, or no socks, but heavier socks are not comfortable with these because of the tight toe box. Incidentally, Bass guarantees its shoes for life no matter where you buy them. If the heel breaks or the stitching comes apart ten years from now, you can bring them to a Bass store for a free similar loafer.

Even thought I ordered a Narrow, the shoes were way too wide and I walked right out of them. I took a chance on Bass thinking they had truly made a narrow and the style looked like it would fit. They are a nice looking shoe but I couldn't keep them on my feet. I returned them the very next day.

If a loafer can be said to be elegant, this one is, because of the slightly shorter throat and very slightly higher heel.

The single thing wrong with it is that the coin keeper is not stitched to hold a coin.
