Perfect cross breed between conserative and elegant. The "thong" is hard to see when on...so it looks like a slide, perfect for the work enviroment!

I really LOVE the look of these but they are built weird. Unless you have very short toes or wear a half size, the arch is not lined up with the toe support so toes will hang over the front a little bit. This is okay for standing around but if you are walking a bit, it's uncomfortable and looks - well - stupid.

Unfortunately they only come in whole sizes so if you are a 7.5 and order the 8 - it should be perfect for you. As I am a 7 and ordered the 7 - my toes hang over. My friend who is also a 7 with slimmer feet had the same toe-hanging over effect when she tried these on. Going from 7 to 8 was too big of a jump and made the shoe feel loose and unstable so I sent those back and kept the semi-small size 7. BUT, a whole size up may work if you have wide feet.

Another con is, as far as rubber wedge thongs go, they are fairly stiff. They lined the instep with a satin-like material. I think that's what made it stiff. Normally, rubber wedge thongs are super-flexi and you feel like they kind of conform to your foot. Not these.

Overall, they are truly adorable and can spice up jeans, capris and shorts. I wouldn't categorize them as dressy - but they'll definitely add bling to your casual and trendy clothes. I'm still glad I bought them based on how they look but due to the stifness and poor alignment, I'm only giving them three stars.
