The bookbag material is real good, its a heavier material than most I have come across. My only problem is the lunch bag, it is the main reason I bought it for my daughter. You can not open the lid totally, the zipper to it should have went around to the back and this way you would be able to open the lid/flap all of the way. It also could have been a little wider, the length is ok. It comes with a sandwich container and bottle but thats all you can put in the lunchbag is those 2 items. I always send in a fruit cup for her lunch but it does not fit. We decided to cut the straps off of the bookbag that the luncbag attached to and I bought her a different lunchbag. I really wish the lunchbag would have been designed differently because I thought it was a real neat idea that it attached directly to the bookbag.
