I loved this sock and do love SmartWool in general, but this style, the ruffles around the top do not have elastin in them so when putting these on, the top band does not have any give at all. Something I always test in a sock is the top banding to make sure they will not be tight fitting, as they should not be. These are extremely tight fitting at the top banding. I would not recommend unless you enjoy your circulation cut off.

I'm always looking for wool socks that are warm but not too itchy. These are so sharp looking under slacks, plus do not irritate when I do the one mile walk at lunch time. Love the colors! My calves must be big so the top of the sock is quite snug otherwise I would have given it the 5 star treatment.
