      After reading the reviews, I hesitantly ordered a pair and held my breath trying to get my 12AA feet into the boots. With the help of the back tap I barely slipped into the boots. I was surprised by how supportive they felt and how comfortable from the cushioning. While disappointed that I couldn't fit my orthodics in, I discovered I don't need them because my feet are so supported! I use thin socks and added a small pad under my heels because the sides of the boot cut a little under my ankle bones. These boots took no time to break in. The leather has stretched enough to ease pulling the boots on and off. They actually make my feet look smaller! I have worn them comfortably for 14 hour work days that included walking and time on my feet.

        This is a really cute boot, and though many reviewers said it was too tight, I found it almost too wide (I have an 11.5 AA-AAA foot so have a hard time finding shoes that fit). I purchased the 12 Narrow and had to add another footbed in the shoe to take up the width and will probably add some heel pads in the tongue area (upper foot). They're very comfortable and I like them for work or going out in the evening for diner or show.

          I was very disappointed that I had to return these boots as I loved the style. But I should have listened to several of the comments which described them as being too narrow.
