            i rarely -- okay, practically never -- wear heels. anything over an inch seems so high to me. however, i feel i need to have a pair of heels around for special events (ones where i won't be dancing a lot; then i'll need flats or go barefoot!) i didn't want to spend a lot on something i won't get tons of wear out of, but i wanted something simple, something classic that would go with lots of things. i can see myself wearing these in slightly warm weather w/o stockings, in cooler weather (it never gets that cold around here) with sheer tights -- although i will need something to keep my right heel, which is my smaller foot, from lifting then. i'm surprised at how comfy these are so far. they really don't feel that high; the platform helps, as does the bit of padding under the ball of the foot. i'm also surprised at how stable they feel. i guess i can handle a heel a little over 2" after all (as long as they're not stilleto)! the shoes don't look cheap and seem solid enough. the cafe latte/nude color is perfect and they are kinda sexy; i've got lots of sexy jeans and such, but never would i call any of my shoes "sexy." if i worked in a more professional office i could wear them there, and i was also thinking of them to attend a bar-mitzvah later this year (guess that's sort of like "church" :)
