These are a great looking shoe and I was excited to get them. Unfortunately, mthe fit leaves a lot to be desired. There is no way to adjust the straps so that they fit snugly on your feet. The crisscross pattern is beautiful but they are generic so it does not account for stretching or the straps or for women who have slim or norman sized feet. My feet slipped around in the sandal and became quite dangerous in just the simple task of walking. When a shoe is so high you need to have it fit snugly on your foot especially around the heel and ankles so that your foot does not slide off the platform and you break your ankle. I surely wish these shoes had some way to buckle or adjust the straps. The shoe really is a beautiful shoe and seemed to be quite comfortable, but it just would not stay on.I am looking for a similar shoe with a better fit or more adjustable straps. Too bad.If you have fat feet then I'm sure this shoe will work fine.

I had just hoped that this style would be prettier on my foot. I've had success with Chinese Laundry sandals before, but this just didn't do it for me. The Ilene style is much sexier and there is little difference between them. In addition, I don't know what is going on with 2011 Chinese Laundry sandals, but these, like others I've ordered this year were just too wide. I returned them.
