Previous review by someone else noted that the heel was hard and uncomfortable. They feel as comfortable if not more so than any boot I have worn. In fact with the soft leather, they shouldn't need the usual break in period. I look forward to wearing them to work in the winter. I can't say how they feel after a full 9 hours as the weather has been too warm since they arrived. Normally pointy toes tend to pinch, these do not. I have a narrow foot and the narrow boot I ordered holds my foot securely.

I ordered two pairs of this boot--hoping to wrap one up for my daughter for Christmas. I blindfolded her and made her try on the boots before hand so I could get an idea if they were comfortable. The heel insert was too hard for her. It was also hard on my heel as I ordered a narrow size and was hoping to have a standard demi-boot for under slacks. So I just mailed them back two days ago for a refund. No luck this time. Makes me think I should skip ordering shoes online as I actually need to try them on before purchasing them. Paying for return postage gets expensive.
