This is the third time I buy these boots over the past 15 years. They last a long time, and they are extremely comfortable. If you like lighter weight shoes, though, these are not for you. They are on the heavier side and somewhat stiff, which is partly why they last so long.

Also, Shoe Mall definitely gave me the best value for my money. Their price was at least $40 cheaper than any other site during the Holidays!

I work in a humongous institution and need shoes that are durable and an absorb the shock of walking on cement all day (12hours). I love the quality of Doc Marten's and was thrilled to find that "Tuf Tech" is real leather with a textile laminate that breathes, and is supposed to be stain resistant. I am not happy that there is no arch support, and that became real evident by day two when my feet and heels were killing me. I put some Dr. Scholl's custom orthopedic inserts in for my flat size 13 feet, and will see if this helps. I did order a second pair because other than the arch issue, these boots feel to be well made and should last like my old pair did.

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery seemed a little slow, but it was free so I won't look a gift horse in the mouth :) I am happy with this vendor once again for their great service.

My 4th pair of Docs, 1st pair of boots. The nappa leather is durable super comfortable, has lots of give and are warm for the winter. Broke the boots in within a week. They seem 1/2 size larger than normal; caused my feet to slide around and blister a little. Got the extra Doc insoles and now all is awesome! Great for snow and rain (using the Wonder Balsam) and look great for casual/work environments.
