I ordered half a size down (8), as I normally I wear a 2A width (8-1/2.) The velcro straps allow a lot of width adjustment, but if your feet are narrower than 2A, these will be too wide. I bought these specifically for long plane trips and lots of walking. They are extremely comfortable and did not require any break in.

It's hard to find a comfortable walking sandal when you have wide feet. This one does the job. The price was high, I thought, but the shoe seems to be quite sturdy, so hopefully will be a bargain in the long run.
