Wanted to wear these for dressy times. Because of my calf size I can not zip them up. I ordered the wide calf, wide foot. Need to try again with the wide wide calf. 6 wide foot fit nicely. I liked the low heel also. March is just around the corner so I may not reorder at this time. Will wait for next fall. I like the plain look of the leather, no fancy stitching is needed for me.Leather is smooth and soft on, wish they had fit.

        I love the look, fit and feel of the boot. The only thing I miss in this boot is a little more traction on the soles for walking in snow and ice. The soles are designed with a little area of small ridges so they still look like dress boots but do have some traction control.

            It's been over 25 years since I bought a pair of 'fashion' boots, and these are perfect! Lower heel allows me to walk without feeling as though I'm going to fall off of them, I can wear a real sock with them, and with my 'stumpy' calfs, the wider shaft allows me the stylish look I am going for. My only complaint is that my feet get cold in them - but then again, my feet get cold in nearly every pair of footwear I own!
