      I love these boots, however due to my high instep these didn't work. I usually wear a size 9 in boots, when I tried them on in a 9 they were too big, so I ordered an 8.5. A BIG difference from a half size.I couldn't even get my foot in the boot so they went back to my dismay.

            It is not yet boot season here in Texas, and won't be for a while, but I wanted to order these boots in advance to have time to break them in. I have never owned a pair of leather boots before, but I already love these. The are quite stiff in the toe area, but from talking to other people and reading reviews, this is common. The black leather is nice and smooth and even all the the way through. I love the classic design and can see myself wearing these boots for years.

                These boots can go almost anywhere. Worn with skirts and dresses they look tasteful, and I've worn them with jeans out hiking as well. Twice I have actually gone wading in them, right up to the tops, and they kept me dry and cozy. A touchup with leather cream and they look nice for dressy occasions.

                    The boots look awesome with skinny jeans or cords. They instantly dress up any outfit. I couldn't be happier. They are very sturdy, but not uncomfortably stiff. Frye really makes a top notch product.

                    Love these boots. I originally ordered them from a high end boutique in LA that caters to celebrity clients. These are not cheap boots and considering the clientele this store deals with I figured they'd arrive in tip top shape. I counted down the days till these arrived only to arrive at my doorstep to a dented box. Ok, I thought, maybe it's just the outside. I open the box and the Frye box was completely tattered and ripped up. I look inside and there are 2 boots - 1 foot was the Dorado and the other foot was the Paige boot. I could not believe it. How can a store that caters to celebrities allow this out of their shop? I sent back the boots, got my refund, and immediately jumped online to look for them again. That's where you guys came to the rescue! Not only did they have my size, but they were also running a special. I ordered the boots and within a couple of days there were my Dorado boots, in perfect condition. SO happy with the service and immediacy of delivery.

                    Comments about Frye Women's Dorado Riding Boot:

                    Beautiful, well-made boots. Nice enough to wear with a dress to the office, great over jeans or under a skirt. A little wider than I would like with my scrawny calves but I suppose that's a good thing with pull-ons. They definitely run big as most Fryes do. I wear an 8.5 or 9 in other shoes but sized down to an 8 in these. They started a little snug but have since softened up a bit. The price tag is definitely high, but I'm betting they'll wear well enough to be worth it.
