          I am a mailman in upstate NY and these types of boots, the rubber over the shoe boot, are the only boots I can count on to keep my feet warm and dry. They are a bit heavy, especially when you are wearing them for 6-8 hours everyday, but that is a small price to pay for warm, dry feet! Highly recommend, they are unfortunately hard to find, and this website sells them at a good price

          I have worn the Servus 10" Dress Zip Overboots boots for over two decades. They are great galoshes that have saved several pair of shoes and consistently kept my feet dry. Due to El Nino, they have become important due to heavy rains and snows, as well as slush and ice. I have tried other rubber boots, but these are the best by far.

          I recently was in a subway station and heavy rains, that had been predicted, poured into the station and onto the tracks. Fortunately, I wore my boots then and was able to navigate the flooded platforms, climb the stairs and walk five blocks to my home. People who wore rubbers needed to wait for the severe rains to stop.

          I discovered the hard way that I always need to have a backup pair of galoshes. In light of the heavy storms that New York has received during the past decade and is predicted to continue receiving, rubber boots are very important. This week a major hurricane to hit the northeast corridor. Once again, I saw how well these overboots were designed.

                  Slips over most shows with relative ease, but if you own brogues or other substantial shoes, there is some difficulty putting them on and taking them off.
                  The rubber is substantially thicker and stronger than Totes type overshoes which can tear apart somewhat easily.
