I'll be the first to admit the price was a little steep for socks. Initially based in price, I bought a single pair to try out prior to upcoming overseas travel as a sock to be worn under boots. I was also concerned about texture as I don't like the feel of wool on my skin. After wearing locally a couple of times, these are so comfortable that I ordered another half dozen pair and wear to work (business casual) almost everyday. Living in SE Virginia, I have zero problem with temperature regulation and wicking. Padding is magnificent. With boots and dress shoes, they stay in place and fit great. Only gripe would be that they aren't particularly stylish. Given that I bought these as boot socks I am more than okay with that. Bottom line: in these socks you get what you pay for. Worth every cent!!!
