      I'm not the biggest fan of the color purple but these are a deep purple and acceptable. I started buying Smartwool socks a couple years ago and haven't worn any type of socks since. Other styles are great for hiking. The only complaint I have with these that that don't stay up and I'm constantly having to pull them up.

      Tp be perfectly honest, I not only broke the left toe on my left foot in December, but went and actually chipped a piece of bone off my left baby toe in January! Ouch! I am an admitted "Fashionist" and had to come up with something to match my outfits which I could wear with that horrible "boot" I currently have.

      It seems to be taking forever for these little two pieces of my foot to heal. When I saw these beautifully colored socks, I was knocked out! I had to get them in purple (my favorite color) and in Magenta. They're great! I can actually make a "fashion statement" with that horrible thing on my foot!!

        Bought 3 pair in various colors to wear in Scotland with walking shoes. Very comfortable, but every pair slowly but surely sagged down my leg to my ankles. I wanted a sock that was warm but not too thick and that stayed up without leaving inch deep indentations in my legs. These socks didn't fit the bill, although I have other styles of SmartWool socks that do stay up without the dents.
