      Been using this boot for over 25 years; however, new manufacturer? new sizing? not sure, but usually I wear a 7M and had to purchase the 8M. Even the 7-1/2 was tight in the toe area.
      Not sure the reason for the change in sizing but I have a very narrow [AAA] size foot [usually 6-1/2 to 7] and this purchase I had to get the 8M. I will have to wear a heavy sock but the boots are so waterproof and great wearing that this is a small consolation to have a good, substantial, flat boot for the Winter with good tread!

            I was glad I'd read these reviews because I ordered a half-size larger than what I normally wear and it's a good thing I did. This seems to be a warm and waterproof boot, and it's got great tread for snow and ice, which I need because I have an energetic Labrador retriever and she's less likely to make me fall on the icy sidewalks because the boots have good grip. My only complaint is that although I wouldn't have been able to fit in my usual smaller size because there wouldn't have been room for my toes, ordering the boot 1/2 size larger means that my heels rise in the boots when I walk. The toe end of the boot is fairly narrow for a medium width, so I think it keeps the toes in place, but the heel end isn't as narrow so your heels can go up. This boot is fine with either jeans or a skirt, but if you wear jeans you can't tuck them into the boot; you can only wear them UNDER the jeans. I have very thin calves and I doubt I could squeeze anything but painted-on jeans into the boot.
