I think this is a very pretty shoe however it is unwearable as it is much too tight although it is the size I normally wear. I have tried to wear it so it isn't returnable and will probably wind up be donated somewhere. So much lost money.

I kept these shoes with ideas that they would become more comfortable over time. Right out of the box, the pointed toe is a bit uncomfortable. There could be a little more cushioning at the ball of the foot, also, and I will be adding an insert for that.

My fault for ordering another fabric Van Eli shoe. I ordered thinking I was replacing a black fabric Van Eli with a black leather and patent Van Eli. These shoes stretch out so quickly. Impossible to keep clean. At least now I know to keep these in the closet for special occasions and forget about using them as every day work shoes.

There is some discomfort at the top of the big toe(neck of the shoes) until the shoe is "broken in." But I was pleased to find that this mostly fabric shoes was much more comfortable than another all fabric Van Eli shoes that I bought a couple of years ago. I think that the addition of the leather/synthetic leather at the front/neck of the shoe allows for more flexibility thus more comfort.
