Okay, these are really great in the sense that they well compliment the gothic style which I have always enjoyed. However, I do not have "fat" lower legs and I have a tough time zipping these up when it gets to around the top of the boot, just a few inches below the knee, where the calf muscle is widest. When you walk, it feels stiff in areas and then crunched down in the parts that have more give because of the top constriction at the aforementioned zipper point. If you are going for style and don't mind discomfort, then these are great. Honestly, for the price, they are a pretty good deal in my opinion.

the material is cheap and one shoe felt slightly smaller than the other. It gets uncomfortable after 30 minutes. My calves started to hurt after a couple days of wearing it.

LOVE these boots, in fact, they are the only Combat boots I could find on-line, but were exactly what I was looking for! I normally wear an 8 and a half but had to send them back for a whole size up (to a 9 and a half). Can't wait to wear them with my mini skirt!
