Moving the upper heel quarter to the inside probably helps water resistance, but it makes it difficult to put the boot on. Adding a thin liner material would help that. Also, the seam of the vamp to the lacing section rubs on the top of my foot. I hope this will improve after they are broken in.

              This is a good boot for the money. Not quite on par as when they were USA made, but still pretty good. Love the narrow size offerings. Nice leather (breaks in easily) durable and under normal conditions with care (occasional boot oil)has last me 2-3 years easily. Good all around work boot whether standing or walking around. My second favorite pair (below my White's Boots) of work boots!
