      I always bought the steel toe farm boot but the soles are like a crepe material that wears down fast. The work america rugged work boot has a hard rubber sole with a small amout of tread that i hope lasts longer. I only wish it was offered in a brown color.

          Best pair of Work Americas I've ever had! Much better then the 6in farm boots I had before. The leather on these boots is thicker and better quality. The insoles on these boots are much better too. The insoles on my previous Work Americas came unglued during the first week of use. Also, my cuffs don't get caught on these 8in boots like they did with the 6in boots. These boots do have treads instead of being smooth, which makes it a little harder to wipe clean. Keep that in mind if you have livestock.
