I purchased the Duckhead Sandtrap Oxfords in the papaya and brown combination. They have a great classic look, the price is good and I am pleased with the fit. They do have a soft sole, which is nice, but it may wear quicker than a harder sole material. I made the mistake of wearing these for the first time on a day I was on my feet, standing and walking, most of the day. So around my ankles got rubbed a bit raw. But that's what BandAids are made for, right. That day (it was a job interview) the shoes looked really sharp with a new camel hair blazer and new dark gray dress slacks. Will wear this color combo mainly for dress use and business casual Fridays. Now I may have to get pairs in solid brown and/or black for dressier.

These are terrific...so far. Have only worn them twice so still a bit stiff. And no idea of durability at this point. All that said, I love them. They are exactly what I was looking for as I have a thing for saddle oxfords. Am so pleased with this pair and the other two I bought at the same time that I ordered the fourth color combo of Duck Heads. They arrived yesterday; will wear them today.

Good shoe but the sole seems soft and has worn quickly. I have had mine for less than a year and wear them about 1 - 2 times a week but the sole has worn. Otherwise a good shoe and I get a lot of compliments on them.

The shoes look great and are pretty comfortable. I was disappointed by the rubber soles. I walked around the block with them and by the time I finished, I had dozens of pieces of gravel embedded in the soles of the shoes. I will take them to a cobbler and have a more durable sheath put over the soles. If that works, then I will buy the other colors and do the same.

Got these for work and for casual wear. It's a good looking shoe. Wish the soles were leather.. They need Dr. Shols in-soles. It makes a difference. It' a stiff shoe and will take some wearing to break em in. For the price I think the quality stinks.

I need my shoes to double as both casual and dress. These shoes are definitely a casual shoe and will not double as a dress. They are very attractive but look better on the page than on my feet. The substance of the shoes felt cheap. I had a similar pair, in suede, many years ago. These shoes did not have a nice interior lining and the leather felt very thin.

I would be willing to pay more for thicker & better quality leather in this style. The quality of the leather is important. Even the higher priced shoes I have tries lately have been way too stiff.
the shoes are not a perfect fit but higher quality leather would help with that as well.

I get lots of comments on these shoes. They are not the most comfortable oxfords, but that's only in comparison to my Ecco Arlandas, which have the European advantage. Still, these Duckheads are head-turners and dress up my otherwise casual office wardrobe. Good with seersucker, khaki, even all navy. Plus, since they're not exactly white, you can wear them all year long. They did break in a little funny and unevenly, so they kind of look a year old after the first week you wear them. But I love them.

I wear my shoes for both dress and caual wear. I like the style and have always wanted some, but had never gotten any until now. I do notice that some more padding would be nice, I added some of my own for comfort. I'm a college prof and on my feet six-seven hours a day. Shoes are a huge part of my work day....and both pair of my new Duck Head shoes provide comfort I've never known before. I've tried everything in my twelve years of teaching: arch supports, Docksiders, etc. Nothing worked until now. Love these shoes. Will buy more. I had been looking for a business casual saddle shoe and ran across this one. It is exactly what I wanted and the price was perfect. I was looking at some more expensive ones and decided to give these a chance. I am happy I did. Some of the reviews stated that these did not have any arch support and I would agree. I wore them for three days straight and did a lot of walking in them. They were comfortable enough, I had no problems, although I probably will add some new inserts into to them going forward. But I love these shoes and got compliments on them immediately.

The shoe is slightly larger than it's size says (not a half size larger), but not a bad thing. Less breaking in needed. This shoe is a terrific value, extremely well-made for the money. Love the color and detail work. I have bad arches and this shoe is very cushy and comfortable when I walk around in the city on cement and asphalt. I've only had them about a month and I'm tough on shoes so we'll see how they hold up. But so far, terrific!

I have peripheral neuropathy that primarily affects my feet. They burn all the time. Hence I need shoes that are sort and comfortable.
