Top Color Trend of 2011: Honeysuckle

BCBGeneration Estrella Pump

Although I’m planning to share Spring 2011’s top fashion color trends with you tomorrow, I couldn’t resist giving you a quick preview today!  Pantone just released its 2011 Color of the Year – and I love it! This year they have selected a warm coral-pink that they’re calling Honeysuckle.  Although that might not be my first name for this hue, I must admit they chose well!  I can see this as a great choice for pretty much any fashion piece or accessory – especially fun, flirty shirts and feminine or sassy shoes.

Pantone is calling this ‘a brave new color’ with a ‘bold spirit.’ Although it’s sort of fun to assign personality to a color tone, I have to admire some of their more practical suggestions for the use of this hue. One of my favorites, which didn’t dawn on me at first, is the use of this color ‘in men’s ties, shirts and sportswear.’ I love it! But then, I’ve always loved pinks and purples on men. Here’s hoping we’ll be seeing some guys rocking Honeysuckle in the coming year!

Reebok Traction Duffle

If you’re looking for some choices to get ahead of this coming fashion trend, I’ve got some great suggestions for you.  First up is the BCBGeneration Estrella Pump, which is currently selling for 35% off. I absolutely love this shoe! It’s definitely the type to show off with a skirt, leggings or cuffed/boyfriend jeans. If casual is more your style, check out the Saucony ProGrid Kinvara Running Shoe.  For the perfect weekend travel bag or workout duffle (in 2011’s perfect color) take a look at the Reebok Traction Duffle Bag.
