Wedding Bells for Hilary Duff
Can it be true? Is little Lizzie McGuire about to tie the knot? According to In Touch & MSN, Hilary Duff will be a married woman sometime this weekend. The magazine is reporting that the wedding is set to go down in Santa Barbara at the San Ysidro Ranch. Those little details like the Bachelor party and first dance choreography? Already taken care of as well!
Although I am not too proud of it, I will admit to going to The Lizzie McGuire movie with my friends. I will not however reveal how old I was when the movie came out! All I can say is we were definitely outside the target age group for the film. Can I help it if we had a shared affection for all things Disney – which may or may not continue to this day? Did anyone else out there watch the show about a decade ago? Hopefully I’m not the only one!
One thing I can say for Ms. Duff – her fiancé sure knows how to pick out jewelry! I don’t know that I’ve ever seen an engagement ring quite that big before. I wonder whether she will ever opt for something smaller for everyday use. In all seriousness, I would think it would get old having to haul that rock around all the time – not that I wouldn’t try it myself in a heartbeat if given the chance! Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen anytime soon – at least not with a genuine diamond. Her ring is estimated to have cost $1 million!
Although you may not be able to afford a ring like Hilary, one accessory style you can steal is her swirl flower purse. If you like the unique look to this carryall, I’ve got a couple of different options for you! If you’re looking for a deal, I would check out the Steve Madden Ruffled Flower Convertible Bag. It’s available in Raspberry (pictured), Bone or Pewter. As if being priced at $59.95 wasn’t enough of an incentive, this bag is actually two purses in one! It can be used as a clutch as well.
If you don’t mind spending a bit more on a key fashion item the Steve Madden BFawna Satchel is a great choice. At $117.90, it’s a little more spendy than option one. However, I’m of the opinion that shoes, purses and jackets are great pieces to make an investment in. They are more likely to get daily use and can really take a basic outfit and breathe new life into it. BONUS: If you like Hilary’s matching fedora, the Roxy Text Me Hat is a great option – and on sale for $19.99!
